URGENT NEWS ON GARY HOPPO HOPKINS

Garys a westham fan who lives in south london,he went to andorra on the hornchurch coach,he became ill when we was getting on the coach to come home and he had a terrible fall that we all witnessed,he was t aken by air ambulance to barcelona in the early hours of friday morning.we had a whip round for his mate martin and gary to get home whip was about 600 euros. we all believed that on what we saw he would be in spain for along time. he got a little better. and said that the police had nicked his money,his son and ex wife went out to spain.and to my surprise he was discharged monday afternoon, at the airport he had a relapse,and was taken back into hospital,garys had a lot of health problems, he should never have been let out of the hospital.at the charlton welling match on saturday the fans raised 250 pounds for him which I think was a great thing to do by them.now its our turn to help a fellow hammer.if you would like to give a few quid, i will be outside pie and mash shop in barking rd from about 5.30, and i sit in row w seat 113 bml, and will be at southend on saturday if you dont know me ask around.please please help this man,and if you pray please do that he needs all the help he can get.thanks.

When piggy passed, a Paypal was available as many of the expats chipped in for his Wreath; maybe Len has the info on how it was done???? Or maybe there is a WHOer with paypal who can help?
Doing a transfer (from this neck of the woods anyway), will chew a good bit of the donation in bank and other fees, the paypal thing, it all goes through.
Happy to chip in but not too keen on the money transfer for the above reason

What happened to the fund that was set up for Whoer's facing hardship? Earlier this year, late last year??? Anything left in there? Surely this is a good use of that money.

Thanks for the update One Iron. I was there when it happened & it was a terrible fall. I'm relieved to hear that Gary is still hanging in there & fingers crossed that he is on the road to recovery. It's a great effort by all the lads to raise some money to help him & I hope to catch up with you on Thursday to add to the fund.

gary had bad heaith problems for a long time, and when he broke up with his mrs he went abit off the rails.he saved up to come with us on this trip,and was living in a hostal at the time, his boy played at westham with my son,thats how i got to know him,ive given to all at westham that needed a few bob,but think this might be the most needed person that i and you can help. like i said, ill be outside pie and mash in barking road thursday from 5.30 till 6.45/7.00 thank you all so much if you are going to help.

Gary was discharged on monday afternoon, went to airport, had a turn was put back in hospital.discharged tueday went to airport had a fall.have not had any news since. but one things for sure dont get ill in spain,you would not treat a animal like hes been treated.

The WHOers in need fund is down to about £550 after payments to Barry and Porters Avenue who have both promised to pay back when fully back on their feet, and a gift for hammerhermit who was ill. Happy to bung a bit of that into this. If you cant make Thursday and want to contribute, I'll make sure any top ups go into it as well

haha yeah well apart from the gift for hammerhermit, the stipulation was for both Baz and Porters that they needed to pay back plus some when theyre able. Both have to be fair remained in contact and promised to do so, so let's wait and see.
